PM: Ready for hearing on police reform
BANGKOK, 21 July 2010 (NNT) —The Prime Minister is prepared to reform Royal Thai Police, calling for retired Police General Wasit Dejkunchorn to report on the progress of the planned changes.
Police General Wasit Dejkunchorn yesterday called on Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to report on the progress of his assignment pertaining to the National Police reform plan.
Renowned for his commitment to transparency and honesty, Police General Wasit has been appointed the head the panel of the Police Reform Committee, whose job is to brainstorm on how the reform plan should be carried out.
After the conclusion has been reached, it will be submitted to the Office of Police Commission for further discussion.
