no. dave, he is asking a very good question. where to find on line farang food? are there any? where do you get your stuff? do you bring it with you or buy it locally? if so,where?
I'm talking about the special things you can't possibly get in Thailand. things that available only in your local minimart shop (in England or wherever you are from..).

Remembering that Farang food stuffs are 'luxury' items with luxury prices, I source stuff from Pattaya or Korat.
I try to keep the special items to a minimum, but do occasionally 'splash out' on some McVities Nobnobs or RichTea biscuits. They can be bought from Staffords in Presat along with many other farang items. That is IMHO, the best shop for Farang foodstuffs around these parts. 

PG Tips are brought over by friend and family, as I have never seen them in LOS.

I've found that the two things I have cravings for when in Thailand for a long stay are cheese (which of course you can now find, the trouble being that cheddar cheeses, for example, are imported from down under where, according to my kiwi mate, there are two types: bland and extra bland) and, oddly enough as I'm not a huge meat eater, lamb (which I'm sure is available in BKK and probably other places too). I've also found that when I bring certain foods over that you can't find in Europe (in my case), they simply don't taste the same -- although maybe that's just me!

Agree with you on the Cheese front. The only type I like found locally is the Extra Mature Cheddar in a gold package from BigC.
The is a farang SanKha way with a sheep farm that supplies many restaurants although I believe the lamb used in Staffords 'Roasts' come from elsewhere.

I cannot take the brown cr@p they call chocolate here. Having tried Doggy treats in my Yoof, Im sure thats what it is!

I found goat to be a good substitute for lamb.
There is no substitute for good Swiss chocolate.
I make my own biltong (dried beef (no similarity to beef jerky))
Good beef is almost impossible to find in Buriram. Water Buffalo is a good substitute if killed for meat and not died of natural causes.
Yes, cheese still remains a problem. Thank you to BKK outlets that sell the good stuff although at a premium.
I suggest a trip to Bangkok to stock up on favourites.

PG TIPS HAVE BEEN AVAILABLE IN KPK IN PATTAYA FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS,,,THEY ARE BLOODY EXPENSIVE THOUGH

probably in Norwegian restaurants. i remember i ate in pattaya once. but it was terribly expensive.
maybe buying on line is the best way to get it but is it worth its price?! 
I find most farang food can be done alone at home, see most products done here but the only thing need to know is the technique and good hands. patient to wait sometimes i find farang food we get easily at home takes Hours to prepare.
you can make yourself your own cheese,pickles,pie,etc you name it. but it takes time.

Thanks Lourens, I'm sure you're right -- goat would undoubtedly make a good substitute for lamb. The downside, of course, is that eating a chunk of thoroughly marinated old goat would probably make me feel like a cannibal !!!!

Someone just pm me about where to get the Swedish delicatess matjes herring, or in Swedish Matjesill. I think I saw it in Foodland in Pattaya behind the counter. Ask for it if You don't See it. I have three cans in home if someone want to buy.

If Your going to Pattaya around 20 th of June I believe Globetrotter Restaurant will have a Swedish midsummer buffé and the will be serving matjesill for sure.
 
BUT don't forget that there are a dutch style to so maybe it was that one Foodland was selling...not sure.
