Prince Andrew to pay visit next weekBritain's Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, will visit Thailand next week as guest of His Majesty the King.
He will have separate audiences with HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn and HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
The Oct 6-10 visit will be the last stop on his three-country tour of Southeast Asia, also taking in Singapore and Vietnam.
In his role as UK Special Representative for Trade & Investment, Prince Andrew will be seeking to promote and strengthen UK-Thai business ties.
"The UK and Thailand have an excellent business relationship," he said.
"During this visit, I look forward to learning more about the partnerships between British and Thai companies. I hope also to be able to encourage more such collaboration."
Prince Andrew will meet Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, Energy Minister Wannarat Channukul and Natural Resources and Environment Minister Suwit Khunkitti.
While in Bangkok, Prince Andrew will meet senior members of the British business community, attend a reception hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand and meet a group of young Thai business leaders.
Prince Andrew will also open a new Infant Facility at Harrow International School, a new call centre at Prudential Life Assurance and visit new manufacturing facilities at Cadbury Adams and Unilever.
