Sorry Sir ,you are incorrect.I live less than 4 kms from where they are every day.Indeed they do have cameras,<2>,one for each carrigeway but they are carried by a policeman who has them mounted on a tripod & is hidden in the bushes about half a mile before you see the police cars.I see them nearly daily normally close to the Pig Farm, very occasionly < as they were yesterday>,a couple of km's nearer to Nang Rong near where they sell the plants.

No Problem..........If you are travelling thro Nang Rong towards Nong Ki,the traffic police box is on the left just as you leave the place,as long as there are 2 police cars & 1 police pick-up there you will be safe BUT if one is missing then beware.

UPDATE! spiral

Napho district,Buriram - Korat way:

Normally there are 4 traffic police on the way to Khorat.

The 1st is at Baan Mai Chaiaput between Phutthaisong and Prathai.

The 2nd is in Baan Non Daeng. This might be nasty.

The 3rd is in Ban Wat immediately after you enter the Mitraphap

The 4h and last is just outside the new chinese temple along the road.

Having been stopped several times along this notorious stretch of road, I now drive at 100kph or less. On one particular occasion, we were travelling at 90kph and got pulled over. Usual tale :- you were doing 120kph, so it's 200baht. We sat and argued the point. I told him I was fed up paying HIM 200 baht every time I drove along his road, so now I never exceeded 90kph. By this time, a queue of ' offenders ' had formed behind us. His mate shouted to him as to why there was a delay, so with a bit of a scowl and no 200 baht from me in his pocket, he let us go. Lucky ? Probably.

That's very bad news but I still haven't met them in the early hours on the morning,
If I need to leave Buriram in the morning I usually calculate my departure time to pass this road strip BEFORE 8:00am, sometimes I am abit late and see them preparing their stands while I freely pass..  drivinggear

They were there this morning at 6-00,within 15 minutes of the rain stopping!!
Always check 2 cars & a pick up are present when you pass the highway police station as you exit Nang Rong..If anything is missing then drive below 100 in the inside lane until you pass the big pig farm on the right which is around 18kms from Nang Rong after that its OK until you go into Korat province
