Want to buy a bicycle
« on: September 22, 2009, 01:19:19 PM »
Folks,

Does anyone know a good place to buy a decent bicycle in Buriram or Prakon Chai area? I am planning to make a trip to Siam Reap on December.

Any info will be useful...

Cheers

Hi Asparasher

I have got an American Mongoose Rochadile Aluminium Mountain Bike that has been rarely used. It has..

22in wheels (quick release)
front suspension(Back suspension is too heavy & OTT, IMHO)
Tyres, as new
Shimono Altus (21) gears
Promax brakes

This bike as as new/standard except I added mudguards. I paid 12,000b for it here in Thailand a year ago and would sell for
9,000b.

If you want a nice looking but HEAVY bike, a trip to Chong Chom market and you would see many that might even last a week  confused4

Hmmm; was going to ask where I might find the LA bicycle shop in Buriram - and there it is!  Right behind the bus station!

Next question, can anyone tell me where the Buriram bus station is?  Yeah; I know, right in front of the LA bicycle shop, right?

Chuay duay, kor!

1.5 year ago we used to have a bicycle club in Prakhonchai similar to Buriram Bicycle Club and one of senior members buys his bikes and accessories from LA Bicycle. They used to have good collection of Scotts which will be great.

I believe the Buriram Bicycle Club holds cycling events and camping trips quite regularly.
