« on: May 04, 2008, 02:44:18 PM »
Hi Everyone,

She has given me her address but she is still learning the English language as much as I am learning Thai Language.

I can understand some of the address but can someone please help me with thye rest of the address?

Jiranakorn 2 Road
Tambon neimang  oumper. mang  Buriram   31000

If someone could help me with the correct English spelling it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Funny enough, I use to live in that very same Soi. I might even know her?

Try this:

House Number (123/45) Gor Soi 2
Jira Road
TNai Muang
Buriram 31000
Thailand

I had a heap of mail from Oz sent there over a 2 year priod, and it all got there.

HEY! THAT'S MY ADDRESS!!!

Only kidding  :P

It looks like it might be:

Jiranakorn Road 2
Tambon ?? (Not important)
Ampur Muang (Ampur = Area, Muang = Town)
Buriram (The province)
31000 (The zip code for Buriram)

But then again, I could be wrong. Can anyone else help?

Amphur, not Oumper.

seems like its the right way to write the address hopefully she gave you the right name of the street she lives (seems like its a soi in the town after checking with some local for you).

Best luck with the present. :)

Small world Maxwell.... I use to live at 435/117... almost next door.

OK. The local postie for that area is very reliable and can read English reasonably well.

When I first started getting mail from Oz, my family and friends all made a cock-up of the address. But I still got everything.

As long as you have the house number followed by Soi 2 Jira Road and then either Amphur Muang or TNai Muang Buriram, it will get there 100%.

Jira Rd is a well known shortening of the actual road name (Jiranakorn or Chiranakorn) Amphur Muang Buriram means its in town.

Good luck.....and let us know if the flowers arrive  :)

Hello everyone,

Thanks for all the tips on the right address. The flowers finally arrived and I have now stopped stressing. It seems like everyone was right with the address, i never once thought that there could be so many different variations on an address. But I would like to thank Somnet, the Administarator, and Lourens for the their help.

I am definantley looking forward to my first trip to Buriram to meet my new lady, I would have to say I have never come across someone that is so happy, truthfull, hard working, independant and so beautifull in all my life. I dearly hope that we will get along just great when we do meet and am looking forward to meeting some farangs from the buriram area when I do arrive in Buriram in July this year.

Is there any website that anyone knows of that can help me with my Thai language learning, a website that has sound as I am totally lost with listening to Thai language. Our reading ability is becoming good, but I need to bush up on my Thai.

Thanks Again Every One

Maxwell
