Carpenter Needed - Ban Ta Sao

I am living in a old Thai Style house. at Ban Ta Sao 36 Km NE of Buriram. I have a lot of work for a good carpenter Thai or European. Like making built in cupboards, Fixing wood work around newly installed Sliding Fly-screen Windows. Greatful for any suggestions.

Last time we did sone work on the house we used local guys. Tradesmen around here tend not to travel far for work. I know the guys we used would not travel to where you are.

Have a word around where you are. If you see work being done nearby ask who's doing it. That way you'll be able to see examples of their work before you hire them.

Yay ! , if it was that simple. I live alone and don't speak Thai. only 2 or 3 people in Village speak English, Often see houses built or being renovated, but unable to communicate my needs. My experience of sign language 90% of time the wrong message is being received. But thanks anyway.

If that's the case, how would you expect to converse with the carpenter when he turns up? You'd need to explain what you require and how much it's going to cost.
