No, why are you saying this.

Traffic is just very slow and not a lot of people are posting new topics

Hi has this site closed down now please

You would have been better off reading the original post "The End".

It's very quiet everywhere right now. The few posts that I follow on, what was Thai Visa, have had only a couple of posts recently. The others I follow are also very quiet. Even the Isaan Facebook page as slowed considerably.

People obviously have better things to do than sit at a computer and chat. Someone will be along sometime with a a question and we can all give our answers.  party6

The other local forum has had between 50 to 110 new posts per week over the last 2 months, just saying!

Not interesting now though. Only about 7 blokes having a chat. Lots of topics of your forum are private. All because the mods ( which consists of half the posters)are idiots and scared of people disagreeing with them. Try logging out and then looking at your forum. It shows almost zero going on.

Then new members join and get banned. Yes, great forum.   :D :D

Hi Guys

I said in the original stream that I thought there was less European expats living in Thailand now than at the height of their numbers in the late 90s and early 2000s, I know others will disagree but I know businesses that used to service the European expats communities nationally and they all say numbers are down and they now look to do business with other groups. When I worked in Bkk 25 - 30yrs ago you rarely saw Russians and Mainland Chinese (they had problems with visa restrictions back then), even the Africans and Arabs (which the Thais tended to slightly frown on) were limited to small enclaves, as a side note back then the Jap red light districts were in their heyday. It was also a rarity to see white European women in Pattaya, you could walk around for a week down there in the mid 90s and not see any, that didn't really change massively until after the Tsunami. All of these groups with the exception of the Japanese have now grown and increased massively in Thailand for various different reasons. I know the Immigration Service will have more idea of the true numbers nationally but they don't like to disclose those figures, however I really don't think that the Europeans/North Americans/Aussies have increased at all, in fact I think its to the contrary and this just reflects on sites like this and its use.

...and there is more information available via social media, and local sources, - local forums once were the main such source.

A local news channel BE most certainly isn't - or never has been

An upcoming marathon-a huge event for Buriram, and ne'er a mention.  Maybe its already been run!

Times up!

Last year the marathon started at around 4am. It was virtually all over by 9am. Hardly worth reporting.

I joined this forum originally to keep up to speed with Buriram specific immigration information, mainly requirements for extensions etc.
Surprised that no-one has mentioned the fact that Buriram Immigration (Town Hall Office) is moving and that there is a new online 90 Day Reporting website, which seems to yield more successful online reports than failures like it was with the "old" website.

I stand corrected. iammike mentioned it in the shout box. I didn't notice it as I've set my ad-blocker to hide the shout box.
